Building over an existing classroom, Northamptonshire

We are delighted to announce the hand-over of the new classroom and refurbishment works at All Saints School in Wellingborough with the Diocese of Peterborough.

The challenge on this tight site was how to provide both a new classroom accommodation block together with improvements to the existing building arrangements.  Grayling Thomas designed a lightweight timber framed structure over and existing single storey building and were able to create a stunning new space for the school and also modify 2 existing classrooms during the holiday period.  The new build features Western Red Cedar boarding and a single ply membrane roof on this severely restricted site.
