Roman masked pot discovery at school site

March 2017

Archaeologists have discovered a rare, painted, Roman head pot at a school site in Lincolnshire.

The discovery was made whilst the site was being investigated for archaeological remains before a new access road is being constructed. Other finds include a copper brooch which would have been one of a pair worn as a clasp on a Roman robe.
