

Independent School – Master Planning and Co-Educational Changes
We were commissioned by a leading independent school to produce a feasibility study assessing the transition from a single-sex to a co-educational institution. Our master planning exercise explored a range of potential development options, each supported with approximate costs. This allowed the school to prioritise projects and consider how they might be phased in alignment with the academic calendar.

Feasibility master planning works included:

Upgrades to toilet and changing room facilities to enable boys to be added to the school intake.​

Upgrades to curriculum options to include a new food tech space, design and technology space, and additional office and administration spaces.

Upgrades to the school hall to increase pupil intake by 50%.
​

A new boarding house on the school campus to accommodate between 20 and 40 full-time boarding students.

Improvements to school accessibility, including a new access lift.

Upgrades to technician spaces, storerooms, and support spaces to accommodate the new cohort
