Education

Dormer House PNEU Independent Preparatory School, Gloucestershire.

The aspirations of the school to expand its existing facilities on a newly acquired, adjacent site have begun, following a feasibility study of the Grade 2 listed, historic Cotswold school site. Proposals for three classrooms, an expanded school hall with roof terrace, ICT, group rooms, a science hub and library space were designed to create a masterplan.

Planning permission was obtained for a new, two classroom extension and work has been completed on the science and library hub. These have been formed from the converted, grade 2 listed cottage, on the site, known as ‘White Roses.’ We worked closely with the conservation officer to secure listed building consent. The existing features of the building have been retained including fireplaces, timber beams and Cotswold stone.
