Bishop Stopford sixth form

Education

Sixth Form Study Centre, Bishop Stopford School, Northamptonshire.

The new centre is designed to cope with the increased demand for places at the school and the need for a large, multi-purpose study space which bridges the link between school and university learning environments. The challenge was to successfully construct the new building on the existing car parking location, with no disturbance to the running of the school and critically, no loss of car spaces. Our response was to create a stunning, glazed link structure which incorporates all the circulation between the old and the new building, to become the core of the design concept. The new study centre, new tutorial rooms, classrooms and offices are all connected to the existing sixth form Common room.
