Dormer House School Site Development
Dormer House PNEU Independent Preparatory School, Gloucestershire.

The school has embarked on an ambitious plan to expand its existing facilities onto a newly acquired adjacent site, following a comprehensive feasibility study of the historic Grade II listed Cotswold school grounds. Our proposals include three new classrooms, an expanded school hall with a roof terrace, ICT rooms, group intervention spaces, a science hub, and a library, all designed to form a cohesive masterplan.
We successfully obtained planning permission for a new two-classroom extension and have completed work on the science and library hub. These new facilities are housed in a converted Grade II listed cottage on the site, known as 'White Roses.' Our team collaborated closely with the conservation officer to secure listed building consent, ensuring that the original features of the cottage, such as fireplaces, timber beams, and Cotswold stone, were preserved.
Key Features:
- Enhanced Pupil Access: Safer, improved access for students.
- Conservation Area and AONB: Sensitive design within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
- **New Facilities**: Three classrooms, an expanded school hall with a roof terrace, ICT rooms, group intervention spaces, a library, and a science hub.
This project reflects our dedication to blending modern educational facilities with historic preservation, creating a functional and inspiring learning environment that respects the heritage of the site.
